What do the residents of St. George want for their city?
The Flint Hills Regional Council (FHRC) is working on the St. George Comprehensive Plan.
That plan is a document which represents the goals, values and aspirations a community holds for itself from present day into the future, according to the FHRC.
Specifically, the St. George Comprehensive Plan is a road map for adopting new policies and initiatives which achieve land use and development goals, along with addressing economic development, housing, transportation, recreation and more.
To participate, between Feb. 23-28, residents can visit www.StGeorgeKSPlan.com to view and provide feedback on the draft plan. The City Office, 220 First Street, also has paper copies and thoughts can be provided on a comment card.
Based on the feedback during this period, an updated draft will be brought to the City Council on March 11, 2021.
